About the Diary of a Northeast Thai Sky
I was at Mahasarakham University last winter doing some anthropological fieldwork and the evenings were very quiet. My son and I lived on the 9th floor of a faculty dormitory and it was a special place from which to view the sunset. Most evenings I caught the orange ball sinking or burning or fading...
The daytimes were full of chaos and noise, construction and dust. The evenings were softer, with the distant putt-putt of motorbikes and people listening to music on the radio while they cooked dinner.
